Marketing Writer, Technology - The Channel Company

The Channel Company is looking for an experienced B2B writer with expertise writing about technology topics to join our Creative Services team. Writers who are equally comfortable producing longer-form content like white papers, attention-grabbing social media posts, and everything in between, would excel in this role. If you also have experience in a corporate marketing writing role, you just may be our perfect candidate.


Position Overview

As a Marketing Copywriter for The Channel Company, you’ll create a variety of custom content for our growing portfolio of B2B technology companies. We help our clients shine with eBooks, infographics, white papers, emails, social media posts, and other content that informs their target audiences — and generates demand.


You'll also help us market ourselves by writing compelling website copy, emails that convert, and other materials to support all the areas of our growing, global business.

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have 3+ years of relevant experience, excellent research and time management abilities, and first-rate written and verbal communication skills. This role can be a remote and home office position.


Responsibilities

  • Craft well-structured, innovative, and persuasive content for a variety of audiences, including business leaders and IT professionals.
  • Collaborate with marketing architects, client success managers, marketing managers, editors, and other colleagues to execute successful client campaigns and corporate projects.
  • Interview subject matter experts to help determine focus of content.
  • Conduct independent research about subject areas to craft informative content.
  • Write compelling content that appeals to technology professionals seeking to advance their business goals.
  • Develop and adhere to storytelling and content best practices to help exceed clients' expectations.
  • Support corporate projects and initiatives, helping execute The Channel Company's vision and growth strategy.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional writing experience in B2B marketing and/or technology industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating complex technology information into digestible content.
  • Ability to craft a compelling story and deliver it effectively in multiple content formats (including long-form, social, email, and others as needed).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and comfort with a varied workload across focus areas and campaigns.
  • Collaborative, resourceful self-starter with a passion for writing, technology, and marketing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Knowledge of the latest B2B technology trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • Must be organized, flexible, and proactive.
  • Familiarity with the AP Stylebook is a plus.
