Events Director - The Channel Company

Are you a seasoned events leader, looking for an opportunity with a fast-growing company in the technology space? Do you love to travel and create meaningful connections with conference attendees, speakers and sponsors? The Channel Company is searching for a Events Director who will lead in the creation and execution of exceptional conference content and event experiences.


Responsibilities:

  • Management of timelines and deliverables to create exceptional events.
  • Define event content strategy – identifying all non-sponsored keynotes, breakouts and workshop sessions and recruiting expert speakers for those sessions.
  • Build relationships with event attendees, to better address their conference content needs and design events that help drive their business forward
  • Work closely with the sales team to accurately forecast revenue and design agendas to meet the sales demand. Define program goals and timelines related to key event content deliverables and communicate those expectations to content stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations for new content types, or new event experiences and new markets - working backwards from customer needs, event data, and industry knowledge.

  • The ability to speak in front of an audience. Quick on your feet with messaging and dialogue at the live events.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years in events
  • Experience managing a team
  • Knowledge of SalesForce, MS Teams, O365
  • Ability to travel to events
  • Bachelor's Degree
